Question - Any Suggestions?

I tried a recipe off the back of a Stove Top Stuffing box. The recipe turned out really soupy/gloppy and not super tasty. Any suggestions for something similar?

It was something to the effect of, make the stuffing as directed, use cream of chicken soup, sour cream, frozen mixed veggies, and chicken. Mix the junk together but put the stuffing on top. It was a C+ at best....

HELP! My thought is to not make the stuffing mix beforehand, and just mix the dry bread crumbs in to the rest of it.
